US Federal Government Launches Data.gov

From the I Love Using the Data Category dept.:
...the US Federal Government earlier today launched the new Data.Gov website. The primary goal of Data.Gov is to improve access to Federal data and expand creative use of those data beyond the walls of government by encouraging innovative ideas (e.g., web applications). Data.gov strives to make government more transparent and is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government.

I think its a good thing that government is finally trying to be more open to the public. I think they are hiding way too much information from us.

I think this is cool...the government does not need to be so secretive all the time...as long as it doesn't compromise the security of the country.

Transparent. Yeah right. It is nothing but smoke and mirrors. They want you to watch the right hand while the left hands continues to take away your rights and freedoms. Now that is change you can believe in.
