From the Expecting Chrome Release Announcement in 3...2...1 dept.:
Things move quickly online, and we’ve beefed up the engine that runs Firefox to make sure you can keep up: Firefox 3.5 is more than twice as fast as Firefox 3, and ten times as fast as Firefox 2.* As a result, Web applications like email, photo sites and your favorite social networks will feel snappier and more responsive.

Firefox is definitely the best browser out there with all the plug ins and it's general usability. I will definitely download 3.5 to test the increased speed claims.

It's a memory hog, I'm afraid. Once you close a tab, Firefox 3.0 releases the memory pretty quickly, but Firefox 3.5 may not do so (at least not on Vista).
Not sure about the speed issue, since I've way too many bookmarks/RSS feeds on my toolbar.

Hmmm, first issue is going to be incompatible add-ons. That is to be expected I guess but I usually wait to get my updates until most add-ons have caught up but the idea of faster and better sucked me in this time. Definitely faster and so far working like a charm. Also, it is not using any more memory than usual. Definitely worth the upgrade sooner rather than later.
