Nokia Leaks Phone With Full GNU/Linux Distribution
From the Apt-Get Call The Office dept.:
Unlike Google's Linux platform, Nokia is not intentionally breaking compatibility with real distros, choosing instead to bring you the unmatchable power of GNU/Linux on your phone.

This should be incredible, the most stable phone ever! It would be especially nice seeing a Nokia being this stable as the latest models have all been suffering from spouts of instability.

Don't know how far is it a good news because UNIX itself is not a user-friendly OS for our PCs.So i doubt how far can it help the mobile phones.

I am currently using an IPhone 3gs and the only reason why I have it is because there is not a fully GNU/Linux free software phone out there. If that N900 use something like this or Nokia change to that, I will really think on changing. I use GNU/Linux everyday at home and work, having it on my phone as well will be a dream come true!
Go Nokia!!!
The nicest thing is that I am sure that will be a debian/ubuntu Linux flavor which uses apt as package manager (great!!!!) I will definitely keep my eyes on this.
