cdparanoia 
Description: cdparanoia retrieves audio tracks from CDDA capable CDROM
drives. The data can be saved to a file or directed to
standard output in WAV, AIFF, AIFF-C or raw format. Most
ATAPI, SCSI and several proprietary CDROM drive makes are
supported; cdparanoia can determine if the target drive is
CDDA capable.
In addition to simple reading, cdparanoia adds extra-

amaroK 
Description: amaroK is an audio player application for KDE. It is currently released independently from the kdemultimedia package, though this may change in the near future, with amaroK possibly replacing some of the older applications such as Noatun. It is part of kdeextragear, allowing it to have its own release cycle independent of the rest of KDE. The word "amarok" means wolf in Inuktitut.
