Description: Gnumeric is a powerful and easy to use spreadsheet program from the GNOME project. Its goal is to compete with proprieetary offerings; users of Excel should be already familiar with Gnumeric's advanced features. A plugin system lets you extend Gnumeric, and optional Python, Guile, and Perl plugins let you define complex functions in those popular languages. It is capable of reading and writing MS Excel spreadsheets, and reading many other formats.
