[GRASSLIST:3968] 5.7 v.in.ascii

I'm trying to generate a line from a number of x y points.

I try:
> cat mpa.vector | v.in.ascii  -t out=mpa
Maximum input row length: 18
Maximum number of columns: 2
Minimum number of columns: 2
Building topology ...

0 areas built      0%
0 isles built
Topology was built.
Number of nodes     :   10
Number of primitives:   11
Number of points    :   11
Number of lines     :   0
Number of boundaries:   0
Number of centroids :   0
Number of areas     :   0
Number of isles     :   0


But what I want is number of points: 0 and number of lines: 1.

How do I get it to create a line?

Grass 5.7.0 Lat Lon.
