The business model doesn't directly affect the users of the freely downloadable SUSE distribution. It does affect them indirectly though, although I dont think I want to get into a discussion about whether Ubuntu or SUSE is 'better' technically. Especially considering the fact that I already know the answer. Ha!
That said, I find no lack of support from within the community for the SUSE distribution. There are great resources like pacman and guru who provide SUSE specific RPMs and I can always get help at suseforums.net when I run into trouble.
